2 Thessalonians
This is the second of two letters to believers in Thessalonica
These letters were likely the first letters Paul wrote, probably written from Corinth, where he abode a "long time" (Acts 18:11, 18), about A.D. 52.
This second letter is similar to the first in that it emphasises where the believers’ understanding had gone astray, particularly in relation to the second coming of Christ. Again he exhorts them to stand fast and to hold the traditions which have been taught to them (2 Thessalonians 2: 15); lessons of course which we can apply to ourselves today!
