| Galatians
This is another of the apostle Paul’s letters which make up the New Testament; this letter was written to the Believers in Galatia probably written soon after his second visit to the area (Acts 18:23).
It seems that the main purpose of the letter was to combat the influences of the Judaizing leaders of the churches who were attempting to incorporate the ways and methods of Judaism within Christianity. Paul was attempting to bring the Galatian believers back to the simplicity of the gospel which in reality permeates the whole of the word of God. Galatians chapter 3 brings this aspect very clearly to our attention stating that the gospel, the good news about God’s purpose was preached unto Abraham and that we can be linked to those promises given to Abraham through baptism into Christ.
