| Philippians
Here is another of the Apostle Paul’s letters during his time “in bonds” in Rome (Philippians 1:7-13) probably around AD 61 or 62.
This letter is in some ways similar to the Ephesian letter in that it provides great encouragement and support to the members of the Philippian church. Paul appears to have been very close indeed to many if not all of the individual members of the church for in the first few verses of chapter 1 he refers to all the members on at least 5 occasions and refers to the joy of their fellowship and their place in his heart. He exhorts the readers of his letter to be like-minded and to strive for the mind of Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5) reminding them of the nature and purpose of Christ in order for them to follow his example. Again, Paul advises on the practicalities of a Christian life and the rewards from God if believers remain sure and steadfast to their calling.
