Romans
This book is in fact a letter written by the apostle Paul to the Christians at Rome, whom he hoped to soon visit, and it’s the longest of his letters written to the first century believers.
The general theme of the letter can be summarised in the phrase “The Gospel - The Power of God unto Salvation”, because Paul explains in great detail how men and women can obtain salvation from the curse of sin and death.
He also covers in this letter the practical application of God’s word in the life of the believer so that the salvation that God offers to mankind can be secured.
